AIM Action's vaccine uses the Lv-8 strain, which was selected during the largest hepatitis A outbreak to date, and the technology has been granted a national patent.

Inactivated hepatitis A vaccine, produced by AIM Action, a subsidiary of AIM Vaccine, has been on the market in China since 2003 and has a history of more than 20 years of use，it is the only two inactivated hepatitis A vaccine manufacturers in China.

The selected strain was isolated and selected from a typical hepatitis A patient in Lvsi Town, Jiangsu Province, during the 1988 outbreak of hepatitis A in Shanghai. It was named Lv-8, taking the meaning of 1988 and Lvsi Town, and it is the only strain in use in China that was isolated during the 1988 outbreak of hepatitis A in Shanghai.

The Lv-8 strain has high virus titer, stable passage number, and good genetic stability.

Hepatitis A inactivated vaccines make vaccination safer

Data from the 2016-2018 China Adverse Reactions to Suspected Preventive Vaccination Monitoring Report shows that the incidence rate of adverse reactions to hepatitis A inactivated vaccines is lower than that of hepatitis A attenuated live vaccines.

AIM Action's hepatitis A inactivated vaccine has high immunogenicity and better protection

A study on 176 healthy susceptible children and 206 adults randomly divided to receive AIM Action's hepatitis A inactivated vaccine and imported hepatitis A inactivated vaccine found that AIM Action's hepatitis A inactivated vaccine has good immune effects for both adults and children. The seroconversion rate after vaccination with AIM Action's hepatitis A inactivated vaccine is comparable to that of imported hepatitis A inactivated vaccines, with no significant difference, and the antibody titer GMT (mlU/mL) is significantly better than that of imported hepatitis A inactivated vaccines.

Immunization Routine and Dosage

Age 1-15 receives the Pediatric Vial that contains 320EU/0.5ml.

(1) Administered via intramuscular injection into the deltoid muscle of the upper arm.

(2) The immunization schedule consists of 3 doses, administered at 0, 6, and 12 months.
